Technical Specification

1. Application

Designed for use in transformers, switchgear, entrance, and special power apparatus applications.

2. Electrical Ratings

  • Ratings are based on use in a liquid-filled transformer, with the lower end of the bushing submerged below the oil level.

3. Construction

  • Insulator Material: High-quality electrical-grade wet-process porcelain.
  • Finish: Gray glaze applied over the entire porcelain surface.
  • Top Skirts: Designed for outdoor applications.
  • Sealing: Bushings are oil- and watertight at both the top terminal and the mounting flange.

4. Terminal / Spade Assembly

  • Material: Pure copper spade castings, tin-plated.
  • Electrical Conductivity: Minimum 97% guaranteed.

5. Mechanical Components

  • Flanges and Washers: Constructed from non-magnetic materials.
  • Disc Spring Assembly: Maintains constant gasket pressure at the top terminal, compensating for thermal expansion and contraction of the copper stud.

6. Gaskets

Optional Gasket: Cork-rubber composition — to specify, add suffix “C” to the part number when ordering.

Standard Gasket: Nitrile (Buna-N)
