Description
These bushings are designed for use in transformers, switchgear, entrance, and special power apparatus applications. The electrical ratings are based on operation in a liquid-filled transformer, with the lower end of the bushing installed below the oil level.
Construction
- Sealing: Bushings are fully oil- and watertight at both the top terminal and mounting flange.
- Porcelain: Manufactured from high-quality electrical-grade wet-process porcelain, fully gray glazed for superior insulation and surface protection.
- Top Skirts: Designed for outdoor applications, providing enhanced weather resistance.
- Flanges and Washers: Constructed from non-magnetic materials to minimize electrical interference.
- Disc Spring Assembly: A disc spring maintains constant gasket pressure on the top terminal, compensating for thermal expansion and contraction of the copper stud.
Gasket Options
- Standard: Nitrile (Buna-N) gasket.
- Optional: Cork and rubber composite gasket.
- To specify this option, add suffix “C” to the part number when ordering.
