POWER BUSHING ASSEMBLIES

Technical Specification

1. Application

  • Designed for typical entrance applications.
  • Widely used in dry-type transformers and as feed-through bushings in switchgear.
  • Provides enhanced mechanical and electrical safety under severe operating conditions.

2. Electrical Ratings

  • Ratings are specified for Air-to-Oil applications.

3. Construction and Materials

  • Porcelain: High-quality electrical-grade porcelain, gray glazed over the entire surface.
  • Top Skirts: Designed for outdoor applications.
  • Leakage Distance: Extended internal leakage distance provides additional safety for dry applications.
  • Flange and Cap: Bonded to porcelain with epoxy.
    • Flange: Cast aluminum
    • Cap: Copper alloy C83300

4. Mechanical Design

  • Spring-Loaded Washers: Maintain constant pressure at the top terminal, compensating for thermal expansion and contraction of the copper stud.

5. Gasket and Sealing

  • Standard Gasket: Nitrile (Buna-N)
  • Optional Gasket: Cork-rubber composition — to order, add suffix “C” to the part number.

6. Optional Features

Extra Components: Additional contact nuts, washers, and spade terminal connectors are available upon request.

Tin-Plated Cap-Stud Assemblies: To order, add suffix “-Sn” to the part number (e.g., 351155-CSn for cork-rubber gasket with tin-plated cap-stud).
