1. Operating Conditions

  • Electrical ratings are based on use in liquid-filled transformers, with the lower end of the bushing submerged below the oil level during operation.
  • Designed for stable electrical and mechanical performance in standard transformer service environments.

2. Construction and Materials

  • Insulating Body: Manufactured from premium electrical-grade wet-process porcelain for excellent dielectric strength and long-term durability.
  • Finish: Standard gray glaze, unless otherwise specified.
  • Mounting Hole Diameter: 3.94 in (100 mm) minimum.
  • Anti-Rotation Design:
    • The bushing is keyed to a two-piece clamp.
    • The connector is keyed to the porcelain insulator, preventing rotation during installation and operation.

3. Gaskets

  • Standard Gasket Material: Nitrile (Buna-N).
  • Optional Gasket Material: Cork and rubber composite.
    • To specify this option, add suffix “C” to the part number when ordering.

4. Terminal (Spade) Assembly

  • Standard Material: 95% minimum conductivity copper.
  • Finish: Tin plated to ensure optimal corrosion resistance and electrical performance.
  • Optional Materials: Lower-conductive copper alloys (such as brass or bronze) available upon request at discounted pricing.

5. Design Features

  • Designed for externally clamped transformer mounting configurations.
  • Provides mechanical stability, precise alignment, and resistance to rotation during operation.
