Product: Transformer Bushing Assembly
Application: Liquid-Filled Transformers
1. Electrical Ratings
Electrical ratings are based on use in liquid-filled transformers, with the lower end of the bushing submerged below the oil level.
2. Installation and Oil Flooding
For maximum bushing performance, the gap between the porcelain and the stud must be flooded with oil.
Flooding Procedure:
Mount the bushing on the apparatus.
Evacuate the assembly to 5 mm Hg vacuum while the equipment is being filled with oil.
3. Insulator Construction
Material: High-quality electrical-grade wet-process porcelain
Finish: Standard gray glaze, unless otherwise specified
4. Gaskets
Standard Gasket: Nitrile (Buna-N)
Optional Gasket: Cork and rubber composite
To specify this option, add suffix “C” to the part number when ordering
5. Clamp Material
Standard Clamp: ZA-12 alloy
Optional Clamp: Silicon bronze (available upon request)
6. Design Features
