Application: Liquid-Filled Transformers

1. Electrical Ratings

  • Electrical ratings are based on use in liquid-filled transformers, with the lower end of the bushing submerged below the oil level.

2. Leakage Distance

  • Externally Clamped: Minimum 11 in (279.4 mm)
  • Internally Clamped: Minimum 12.5 in (317.5 mm)

3. Insulator Construction

  • Material: High-quality electrical-grade wet-process porcelain
  • Finish: Standard gray glaze, unless otherwise specified

4. Gaskets

  • Standard Gasket: Nitrile (Buna-N)
  • Optional Gasket: Cork and rubber composite
    • To specify this option, add suffix “C” to the part number when ordering

5. Terminal / Spade Assembly

  • Material: Spade castings consist of 95% minimum conductivity copper
  • Finish: Tin-plated for corrosion resistance and reliable electrical performance
  • Optional Materials: Bushings can be furnished upon request with spades made of lower conductivity copper alloys, such as brass, bronze, etc., at a discounted price
